John Lee Hancock’s film entitled “The Blind Side” describes the struggle of a Black man to become part of the White society. Michael Oher, the main character in the story shows the audience how a black man experiences mistreatment and discrimination from his white community which is the common trend of American mainstream. However, the film also wants to deconstruct the traditional.
The film I chose to write about is “The Blind Side”. The reason I chose this movie is because it deals with various sociological concepts, such as, being a non-traditional family, being an upper-class family taking in someone who was considered lower-class, and being a family that wasn’t all the same race.
Actors: The Blind Side I suspected, after reading Megan Bash’s review (below), that the filthy Blind Side would be worth seeing.
